I have recently completed my BFA in Graphic Design at the University of Florida in beautiful Gainesville, Florida. Post-graduation I will be relocating to Manhattan, New York to pursue my MFA degree in Industrial Design at the Parsons School of Design.
Having been born and raised in Dubai, U.A.E. I was constantly surrounded by advanced technology. As I grew, so did the city around me. I witnessed my home transform into the bustling international city it is today. Design and Technology has always been an interest of mine and has influenced my current design practice.
As a young designer, I have spent the last 4 years of my career learning from mentors, fellow classmates and faculty at the University of Florida. I have pushed myself to try new art mediums and design platforms that broaden my horizons. My artwork ranges from concept design to product development. Pieces have been exhibited at the Ligature 28 at the University of Florida after being chosen by world renowned designers Eddie Opara and Alexandra Zsigmond.
Coupled with my passion for making and my desire to keep learning, I am excited to delve into the world of Industrial Design. I hope to combine my knowledge of visual systems with Industrial Design to become an interdisciplinary designer.
